We provide legal services to shipping and transportation companies, oil and gas exploration companies, drilling and oilfield service companies, manufacturers, contractors, employers and domestic and international insurers and underwriters in all areas of admiralty and general maritime law.  Our practice includes cases that have been filed in Louisiana and Texas state and federal courts.  We specialize in defending claims arising in the marine workplace, including those involving property damage, cargo loss and damage, collision, salvage and allision. We have handled numerous losses arising out of the fishing industries both in the Gulf of Mexico and around the world.  Because of our extensive practice, we are familiar with the federal legislature and regulatory framework in which marine based industries operate, including the Jones Act, the Longshore & Harbor Workers Compensation Act, the Death on the High Seas Act, the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act,  COGSA, the Oil Pollution Act, the Admiralty Extension Act, and the promulgations of federal agencies, including the United States Coast Guard, the Maritime Administration and state agencies with maritime jurisdiction.
