ASSOCIATE
Dominik J. Cvitanovic joined the firm in 2014 as an associate in the New Orleans office. He has represented individuals and companies in a variety of practice areas, including banking, commercial litigation, labor and employment issues, tax law and oil and gas. Dominik’s practice includes experience in UCC regulations concerning items, negotiable instruments and funds transfers. Dominik has experience in labor and employment obligations under the Service Contract Act, the National Labor Relations Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act. He has provided legal services to companies on issues related to breaches of joint operating agreements and enforcement and termination of mineral leases.
Mr. Cvitanovic graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies and Economics in 2010. He earned his J.D. from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2013, where he graduated magna cum laude in the top 5% of his class and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. While he was in law school, Dominik was accepted onto the Louisiana Law Review and received the Henri Capitant Award for Outstanding Civil Law Comment. He externed for the Honorable Jeffrey P. Victory at the Louisiana Supreme Court, as well as in the Criminal Division of the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office.
