Matthew C. Hoffman is a partner with the firm, practicing in the firm’s Pensacola office. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with highest honors in 2000 from the University of Florida, and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida College of Law in 2003. In 2013, he received an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law.
Mr. Hoffman is admitted to the Florida and Alabama Bars, and practices primarily in the areas of real estate transactions and development; real estate litigation; and general business and commercial law. Mr. Hoffman regularly represents banks and other lenders in commercial loan originations, including hotel and commercial construction financing, term, and asset-based loans, and has substantial experience with loan workouts, restructures, and foreclosures. Mr. Hoffman also represents lenders and developers in various real property, title, and banking related matters, including residential and commercial real estate closings, quiet title and partition actions, and commercial leasing transactions. Mr. Hoffman is an agent for several title insurance underwriters, including Old Republic, First American, WFG, Chicago, and Westcor.
In addition, Mr. Hoffman regularly represents individual clients with estate planning, wills, and trusts, and business clients with general business and tax planning. Mr. Hoffman also regularly represents individuals and corporate fiduciaries with probate and trust administration.
