From October 5-8, the New Orleans Bar Association's will host "Panama Connection - Latin America CLE and Partnering" at the Waldorf Astoria in Panama City, Republic of Panama. The program will cover developments in trade and project financing, proper risk management by multinational corporations, and the finer points of using international arbitration for dispute resolution when doing business in Latin America. Carver Darden partner, Jacqueline M. Brettner, will be speaking on the topic of Cyber Risk Management Issues for Multinationals and the Representation of Latin American Companies in the U.S. Judicial System.
Ms. Brettner is originally from the Republic of Panama and regularly advises clients on international commercial transactions in her native language, Spanish. She also advises multinational corporations on risk management issues including program development and implementation, and insurance coverage evaluation and placement. Ms. Brettner is also a registered mediator. Her mediation practice includes the resolution of complex insurance coverage questions and commercial transactions.
