M. Taylor Darden - General Counsel - Louisiana Landowners Association

M. Taylor Darden, a founding member and partner with the firm of Carver, Darden, Koretzky, Tessier, Finn, Blossman & Areaux LLC, was recently appointed to serve as General Counsel to the Louisiana Landowners Association, Inc. The LLA is an organization that represents landowners owning or controlling over two million acres of land across the State. Its membership includes farmers, oil and gas producers, timber owners, developers, bankers, and ranchers located throughout the State. In addition to maintaining his existing practice with the Firm, Taylor will advise the LLA on legal matters associated with the Association’s mission of protecting the rights of individuals to own, manage, develop, use and dispose of land without undue governmental interference. Taylor is a 1977 graduate of LSU Law School and has practiced in the areas of property law and oil and gas for almost the entirety of his 35 year career. He previously served as a member and Chairman of the Advisory Council for the Louisiana Mineral Law Institute and as a board member of the Professional Landmen’s Association of New Orleans. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers.
