Data Privacy & Security

Carver Darden brings multi-disciplinary practices together to manage the firm’s Data Privacy & Security practice group.  Attorneys from the firm’s Intellectual Property, Patent Law, Litigation, Insurance and Employment teams  work together to provide clients a wide range of legal experience to help them handle data breaches and manage resultant client exposure.  As companies are becoming more and more vulnerable to cyber attacks and data privacy breaches, our attorneys review  client transactions, compliance, litigation defense and employment law issues, and provide detailed analysis  to help our clients develop best practices to prevent attacks and prepare them for a data breach should one occur.  Attorneys in our Data Privacy and Security practice are active speakers and presenters on the topic of cyber security.  We provide training for our clients’ employees, so together we can develop a no-nonsense approach to business related issues.  Attorneys in the group have represented a wide-variety of clients and industries, including Energy, Banking, Educational Institutions, and Insurance Companies.
