Carver Darden is delighted to share that Stephen P. Scullin has been reappointed as Co-Chair of the Purchase and Sale Committee within the American Bar Association’s Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law. His term begins in September 2025 and will span the 2025-2026 bar year.
Having previously served in this role, Mr. Scullin will continue to advance the committee’s initiatives. As a partner in Carver Darden’s New Orleans office, his practice centers on guiding clients through real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, development, and financing. His expertise encompasses negotiating loan and security agreements, guaranties, providing legal opinions for secured lending, and drafting and reviewing contracts.
Beyond real estate, Mr. Scullin’s practice includes advising on business reorganizations, mergers, and dissolutions of corporations, partnerships, and joint ventures.
The ABA Purchase and Sale Committee focuses on key issues in land transfers, industry practices, and customs, with particular emphasis on analyzing provisions in commercial purchase and sale agreements.
With his deep expertise and proven track record, Mr. Scullin is well-positioned to lead the committee effectively during his tenure as Co-Chair.
