Carver Darden Announces the Arrival of Three New Associates

Carver Darden is pleased to announce that Patara Ogunc, John M. Theriot, and Crysta R. Torres joined the firm as associates in the New Orleans office.

Patara Ogunc practices in the areas of financial transactions, commercial contracts, and business organizations.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana State University in 2020. She then received her JD and Certificate of Law, Technology, and Entrepreneurship from Loyola New Orleans College of Law in 2024. 

John M. Theriot’s practice includes commercial litigation, bank litigation, oil and gas, maritime, construction, and property. He attended Louisiana State University as a participant in LSU’s 3+3 Pre-Law Program and received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a focus in Law and Legal Systems, and graduated summa cum laude in 2022. He then received his Juris Doctor Degree and Diploma in Comparative Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at LSU where he graduated cum laude in 2024.

Crysta R. Torres will focus her practice on commercial litigation and business transactions.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology from Louisiana State University in 2021. She received her JD and Diploma in Comparative Law from Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2024.
